Explanation of Names
Specific epithet from latin meaning "worn out." Zeller states "I'm not sure this is not a mere modification of Exart. quadrifidum, chiefly due to the want of bright ones." (1)

FWL: 6.5-8.0 mm
Identification
The forewing is uniformly olive gray with no markings except a dark apical spot and, in fresh individuals, brownish-gray shading from the base of the dorsal margin to mid-costa. (2)

Range
Maine to Michigan, south and west to New Jersey, Ohio, and Iowa. (2)
Season
June and July. (2)
Food
Larvae tie leaves of currant (Ribes sp.) leaves. (3)
