Shiny elytra (without coarse punctation), long 3rd antennal segment, and faint whitish longitudinal lineations on elytra all point to E. ventricosus. This is our most commonly encountered species, Individuals and populations can be quite variable in the degree of linear arrangement of the long hairs on the elytra...from strikingly aligned to seemingly randomly scattered.
