Moved from Isotoma delta.

Isotoma viridis ssp. pomona
Recently I found the work of Folsom 1937.
It is clear now that most I. delta records from California heve been misidentified. They are not I. delta but I. viridis ssp. pomona.

Great to have a name for these wonderful springtails!
Thanks for the ID, Frans. The recent rain that we have been getting seems to have increased their numbers around my place quite significantly, and at the moment they are definitely the primary collembola species inhabiting the "micro-climate" of my landlord's pool and deck. (*smile*) Interesting that these images are the first representation for this species on BugGuide from the west coast...

You are most welcome to use any of my springtail images on your site and I'm honored that you've asked!

Thanks, Harsi
for your kind permission.
