Identification
"Excellent image to show the fully extention of the anal gills. Those gills only visible when the larva is in the water, once in the air the gills will withdraw and become invisible or only partially extended. The dorsal hair lines is one of the characters of species found in the Yamatotipula group." -- Chen Young on this image:
