I thought so too...
but they're actually not that bad when you have them in hand and under a scope, but of course with a good reference..I have 2 more species (1 Donacia and 1 Plateumaris) new to BG to image.

Dr Clark is reluctant to ID our donaciines from pix, although otherwise he is exceedingly helpful and quick to respond with IDs.
