Flea beetle - Chaetocnema concinna
Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA

Size: 3 mm
Apparently blown out of oak tree on windy day. I laid out a big piece of white aluminum flashing so I could easily spot whatever landed on it -- a good way to collect small stuff.

Moved tentatively; i asked Chris Majka, Is this concinna?
...to which he replied, "Without keying it out, it looks exactly like C. concinna. NH would (I think) be a new state record for it, although it is known from MA & ME, so not surprising."

I doubt I have the specimen so, assuming male, we can't yank its "junk" and be certain. The location is about 5 miles from Massachusetts border.

i bet you get lots of nasty stuff from across that border
consider [a] proactively yanking junks of whatever tries to cross it, and [b] building a great wall as a public works project
