white peacock butterfly caterpillar - Anartia jatrophae

white peacock butterfly caterpillar - Anartia jatrophae
August 25, 2008
I'm pretty sure this is a white peacock, Anartia jatrophae caterpillar. Found it within a butterfly exhibit that had lots of the adults, and it appears to match current guide images. I think it's a good enough reference image to hang onto. If I've made an error in ID, or anybody disagrees, feel free to edit.

Moved from ID Request.

Nice shot.
Its a good picture, I would keep it, once confirmed. (I cant help with that as I have no experience with that species, but think the picture is great.)

I thought it was pretty cute as far as caterpillars go :) I like the antennae-like projections off the head.
