Four-spotted Spittlebug - Aphrophora quadrinotata

Four-spotted Spittlebug - Aphrophora quadrinotata
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
June 28, 2009
In open field. ID help appreciated.

Moved
Moved from Cicadoidea.

Not at all certain, but I wonder...
could this be a spittlebug--maybe something in/close to Aphrophora?

Aphrophora quadrinotata
the color pattern is similar to that of Lepyronia quadrangularis, but the head is shorter and the wings more slender
