This species was number 3818 in the 1983 Hodges Checklist.
Explanation of Names
Cagiva cephalanthana (Heinrich, 1921) was formerly unassigned to genus in Meltzer & Brown (2014) (2). Pogue (1986) proposed the genus Cagiva for this species in his unpublished Ph.D. dissertation and is nomen nudum (unavaillable). Brown (2019) (1) published the name Cagiva, new genus.
