This looks similar to another photo I submitted that was ID'd as Pachodynerus erynnis but I may not even be in the right neighborhood.

In the right neighborhood, yes
In that you're in the right subfamily (Eumeninae). This mason wasp is more slender than the plump Pachodynerus erynnis but obviously somehow mimics it.
This is a female Parancistrocerus fulvipes. Only Floridan populations of this species show this mainly red orange, rather than yellow, color pattern. Further North, only legs and tegulae are red.
