Spike tailed beetle - Mordella

Spike tailed beetle - Mordella
Lorida, Highlands County, Florida, USA
August 4, 2009
Size: 10mm roughly
I located it on a yellow flower, unfortunately, I don't know what kind of plant it was.

Moved from Mordellini.

Moved from ID Request.

one of the Tumbling Flower Beetles (Mordellidae):

(Although 10mm would be approaching the upper end of the size range.)

I could be wrong, so please wait for a second opinion.

yes; looks like a Mordella
