Most species can not be identified without a properly prepared slide mount of genitalia and high magnification. The ones in the guide are among the few that are distinguished by external characters.

Wings
are thrashed off of this specimen - it has done some hard travelling. Some partial pieces of wing still remain on both sides, but a complete one is no longer to be found.
