Hypocoena basistriga

Hypocoena basistriga
Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

near outdoor light, early morning

Moved
Moved from Owlet Moths.

Confirmed as 9439 - Chortodes [= Hypocoena] basistriga
.... by Gary Anweiler, to whom I sent the photograph. I assume that by his indicating Chortodes we may be seeing a revision of genus in publications to appear within the next 30-60 days.

Quite Possibly a Hypocoena
I don't know the extent of variation in the genus for which we lack photos at MPG of two species. The curious change in color at the veins is seen in a photo of 9439 - Hypocoena basistriga by Gary Anweiler at Strickland Museum pages. (no rsvp, thanks)
