Size: varying
I counted thirteen of these wasp on one Beech tree. They were varied in size. They appeared to have a segment in their abdoman. They wagged their abdomans back and forth.

Can this wasp hurt my child
I found this wasp in my daughters swimming pool today, Kitscoty, Alberta - Canada. I was wondering if it could harm my daughter and are they poisonous, I have never seen a wasp like this in my life. Should I have any fears? my daughter is 3 years old. please help!
