Genus is just a guess. Maybe a Cyn Sunflower feeder?

Pretty sure you're right on genus.
I have that dusty Calif. wing patterns chart, which uses the dated name of Paroxyna. Apparently, there are only seven species. Perhaps Martin will comment.
