Just wanted to add a shot of this guy on the Agave where I found him (prior to transferring him to a plastic plate to get some cleaner shots). I was hoping to further demonstrate that when viewed in the shade the pronotum is reddish in color, as opposed to the more orange appearance seen in direct sunlight.
