what am I?

what am I?
Sonora, Tuolumne County, California, USA

This little guy fell on me from the ceiling of our house later in the evening. We did or might still have an infestation of odorous ants in our walls. Haven't seen any in awhile after baiting.

Anyone have any ideas as to what this is?

Snakefly larva.
Don't know what it was doing on (in?) your ceiling, but this is the larva of a snakefly, probably genus Agulla. They are predatory, so perhaps it was feasting on ant larvae:-)

Hey thanks I appreciate it, I have seen a few snakeflys on our screen but didn't know what they were until now, thank you for your time.
