I can't be certain, but I'm fairly sure it is Grammia phyllira

Moved from Moths. I'm moving these based on Roar's comment below -- but am not an expert thus am leaving it for someone else to move beyond Grammia.

Moved from ID Request.

probably Grammia virgo

diagnostic features ?
Roar - Are you seeing anything on this specimen that looks diagnostic feature-wise? No CO records for Grammia virgo on BG yet. OK closest. I'm very unfamiliar with them personally. Be great to know if it is for sure that sp. otherwise I have a feeling it'll be stuck in genus. I know Grammia can be tough ID-wise.

A dorsal view would be helpful
If not available, I am not too good with the Grammia adults. :)

Didn't have a good top down of this one unfortunately.

But you've captured great coloration from this angle....
...truly resembles the coloration of a tiger!
