The Lappet Moth, Female - Phyllodesma americana - Female
Hidden Corners Sanctuary, Town of Bailey's Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin, USA
May 15, 2004
This female came to the outside lights. I captured her in a jar and she laid eggs on May 17, 2004. They hatched on May 28, 2004. Reared larvae on Balsam Poplar (Populus balsamifera) and Birch (Betula).
