medina is the county but i'm unsure of the date other than 2005.

Pregnant?
This is a Monarch and it does appear to be a female from what I can see but I am not sure "pregnant" is the proper description. :)

Gravid, anyone?
Sometimes when I photograph a particularly plump female insect I append the notation "gravid" to the image (egg-laden, in other words) but short of watching the female lay the eggs it is hard to know for certain if they are gravid or not.

bash
Some moths will start laying eggs anywhere after bashing themselves against a light all night.

Sorry, are you suggesting she bash the butterfly?
a) not in the kind and gentle spirit of BugGuide and
b) I think butterflies are more particular about where they lay their eggs than moths. But she could kindly introduce her to a milkweed plant and let nature take its course :)

Behavior.
I wonder if this female is "calling," as in exuding a pheromone to attract males. Not sure how that works in Monarchs, as I know the MALES have a scent patch on their wings....
