Godenrod elliptical gall - Gnorimoschema gallaesolidaginis

Godenrod elliptical gall - Gnorimoschema gallaesolidaginis
Toronto, Tommy Thompson Park, Ontario, Canada
October 3, 2009
Size: ~ 4 cm
This is field photo, later on I collected some galls from identical goldenrod plants which were rather common in the area.
Is it Canada Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis)? It does have leaves with untoothed egdes, see photos here.

Canada Goldenrod
As in your other posting (see the reference chart I linked there), this appears to be Solidago canadensis based on the general absense of pubescence on the underside of the leaves. This species is very similar and closely related to S. altissima, so they are hard to tell apart, especially from photos.
