Saw one or two of these today, visiting the same patch of flowers. (Deerweed, right?)

Deerweed looks righ to me...
...but I'm still a novice in need of more time under Hartmut's tutelage. :-) Happy to see that you are finding some attractive bees & flies to photograph!

 
Interesting bees are beginning to appear.
Syrphids are consistently out there, but often hard to see/shoot.

I'm used to seeing deerweed in another place and at another time, so have problems "parsing" the landscape.
