Tetracha virginica - female

Tetracha virginica - Female
Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
August 9, 1986
Size: 23 mm
Running quickly in a parking lot at night under bright security lights. I think this is currently our most northern BugGuide record for this species. I have only encountered this beetle in southeast Maryland where it is not common, but still a regular visitor seen on the the ground at night around lights close to the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. 38.9810, -76.5625
