Florida harvester ant nest - Pogonomyrmex badius

The nest is flat, there is a large main entrance hole, and two smaller holes about a foot from the main one, they have made a barrier of stones and stick debris around the nest.

Wow, that's big.
The UF site (link on info page) says "The mound is very slight and flattened with single or multiple entrances in the center and is from 30 to 60 cm in diameter" - looks like yours is maybe even bigger than that, but the description otherwise is perfect.
I guess I should say this is big compared to the ants nests I commonly see. I just noticed we have pictures of other harvester ants' nests on this site that are MUCH bigger!
