Gloster, Gloster Arboretum, Amite County, Mississippi, USA

Size: body length 7.9 mm.
We have identified this asilid as a female Atomosia rufipes. If correct is is a MS record for BugGuide.
Confirmation/correction of ID and gender would be appreciated.

Edit 02/16/10 - After reviewing our basis for the determination of gender of this specimen(shape of abdomen), we have decided that this is not a valid feature. The indication of gender has been removed.
