spider -
Neriene clathrata

Sharon, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
Size: 3.3mm
I think this female is mature now. I fed it and today (2-13-10) I checked and saw a shed skin and a different looking spider.

N. clathrata, after all
Sorry, this is
clathrata
(like the male). I just checked the new SpiMi and it indicates that the legs are annulated "sometimes".
Specimen (m/f lot): kmp-06323

N. montana?
I'm wondering if this might be
N. montana
, because of comments by Roberts in his field guide (1996). In there he mentions that
N. montana
has rings on the legs (annulated) but that
N. clathrata
does not.
Both species occur in your area.

How about these other 2?
They both have rings on the legs, so should they be moved too?

Thanks Lynette and Kevin. I've got this girl saved for the next shipment to Germany. Then Kevin can verify the species is correct.
