Specimen: kmp-6254

I dissected the epigyne; this does appear to be S. spinifera.

Bad news
Confession time: I left this specimen and 371682 in the examination glass on my desk, certainly with the intent of looking at them the next day and although covered by a glass slip, they dried out.. twice. I am not sure now about this being S. spinifera, but also can't really say what it might otherwise be. I'll hold on to the two for a while; perhaps I can come back to it sometime and try to puzzle out the dessicated remains. (Sorry)

No problem
I've had a few specimens dry out because the alcohol evaporated from the plastic vials. Plus this is all volunteer work, so if a few of them don't make it to the microscope, you're not going to get fired:-)

Moved
Moved from Dwarf Spiders.
I'll see if I can get a shot of the epigyne.

..
I imagine that there is at least a chance that this is our Souessa spinifera.
