I'm sure someone will be able to give you a species or at least a genus.

EDIT: Looked around a bit... Seems like it could be Eupeodes



But these can be tricky, so please wait for a second opinion.

 
Good start. It's a Bird Hover Fly, male
Eupeodes volucris male is readily IDed by its distinctive abdomen. Females are tough to get to species.
