Bears some resemblance in form to

more likely Pachybrachis sp.
The ALL black color and heavily punctured pronotum give me pause; seems more likely its something along the lines of Pachybrachis nigricornis.

The NH list was down - couldn't check that, but the Rhode Island lists includes the above, so maybe.

 
I looked at some images
and this one seems to fit Pachybrachis nigricornis, so I've moved it to species page.

 
So does NH list
Among 11 Pachybrachis on the UNH checklist is P. nigricornis difficillis.
