Moved tentatively -- extremely nice curc! will ask Bob to check
=Hypocoeliodes ulkei (Dietz)

Moved from Orchestomerus.

ID confirmed by Robert Anderson
his comment: "I am pretty sure that is it. That said, I think there may be more than the one species in the eastern USA. There are 3 in USA; one in extreme so.TX and one in AZ. The AZ one is on wild grape and common in Cave Creek Canyon along the road."

Orchestomerus wickhami
Actually I have just seen the type specimen of O. ulkei and it is something else entirely and not an Orchestomerus. This one pictured here is Orchestomerus wickhami which we are finding to be more widely distributed than just south Texas.

Thanks...
Thanks for figuring this one out.

Orchestomerus new species
Further update: We've dissected males of the south Texas Orchestomerus wickhami and more northern specimens and they are different species. Turns out the more northern ones are a new species associated with Parthenocissus (Virginia Creeper) and the southern are O. wickhami and associated with Cissus.
