Collected at lights

Females of this species are a common sight around lights in parts of Alabama, esp. during the late spring and again in mid- to late summer. They generally come in early and often linger in the trees or on the walls of buildings. Of the many I have seen and collected over the years, I have only collected one lone male at lights.

NOTE: This species is subject to some seasonal variation. Typically, the Spring forms are lighter and brighter and the summer generations are usually darker and/or more washed out in appearance.
