Megarthrus americanus?
I believe this to be M. americanus based on Cuccodoro and Löbl's 1996 revision(1)
I can't comment on the flat coxites or arcuate metatibia mentioned in the literature. However, it has very denticulate lateral pronotal margin and the locality fits. M.americanus also seems to have a more pronounced denticle on the anterior of the pronotal margin, compared to the rest of the nearctic species.

Mike Ferro uploaded a photo of the species here!

*also could the size be an over-estimate? The species of Megarthrus are generally

species?
Does anyone know the species name of this?

if Dr Thayer couldn't tell, then no :)

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

the pronotal scultpure
is consistent with Megarthrus.

Not an ID, just an observation...
Looks a bit like Megarthrus

Now let's wait for the folks with actual expertise, and see if they agree. :)
