This image is merely to demonstrate how docile these wasps are. The males have a poor excuse for a pseudo-stinger which cannot even penetrate the skin. They do pack a pretty good bite though.

Thanks for posting the photo of these wasps in your hand. Maybe shots like this will help encourage folks to stop using harmful chemicals to kill harmless and/or beneficial insects.
