Kukulcania geophila - female

Kukulcania geophila - Female
Lafayette, Contra Costa County, California, USA
December 19, 1999
37°53'39.6"N 122°09'23.0"W
This small species can be found under rocks. I collected it nearly seven years ago as a fourth instar.

Another little known but interesting fact is females continue to molt after sexual maturity. Sexually mature females can produce an egg sac a year and may shed one to two times a year.(under favorable conditions)

Moved from Kukulcania.
