I have been checking lights around the house as the weather has warmed. Last night, this moth flew along the large sliding doors at the back of the house and disappeared. I located it at the front light of the house where it remained just long enough to photograph it. First moth of the 'spring' season. I was impressed by the rich color of this moth.

Beats my March 26 record!
I found one, soaking wet, in the middle of Beekman Rd (also East Brunswick, NJ) during Spotted Salamander migration. And here I thought that was early!
