Predatory Stink Bug i think
Looks similar to Podisus genus. Wait for experts to get a correct ID though.

Unfortunate common name, even if it's accurate. As a dabbler in sculpture, I really like the shape and texture of these creatures. Might carve one some day.

This is one of my favorite insects, too:-) Found a couple of these in southern Missouri when I lived there. Keep up the nice work!
