Anthicidae? - Sapintus pubescens

Anthicidae? - Sapintus pubescens
Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
March 9, 2010
Size: 3mm
Found under a board at the edge of a salt marsh.

Moved tentatively -- pending Don's return
Moved from Beetles.

If truly
3 mm, then more likely S. fulvipes. Hard to tell the two apart, and this photo doesn't show the sculpture of the head and thorax as well as I would like to be sure.

...
Don, I'm pretty sure I have this one saved for you.

perfect; we'll know for sure then
