Shaw Nature Reserve near Gray Summit, Franklin County, Missouri, USA
March 10, 2010
Size: 5 mm
The first day to reach 70F occur here (since early November 2009) brought a lot of insects out. This Formica worker that poked its head out to sniff the warm air was among them. This is the northern, darker version of the true F. pallidefulva.
