Moved
Moved from Omaliini.

Moved
Moved from Rove Beetles. Should be either Phloeonomus laesicollis or Phloeostiba lapponica, though the elytra look less microsculptured and the elytral punctures a little coarser than in the specimens I checked. That could be a matter of lighting.
Tom, any chance of an additional shot of the head and pronotum a little more straight dorsally? The pronotum should have either the middle area flat with a longitudinal internal dark line near the base (lapponica) or the middle area with two shallow impressions and a slightly raised area between them (laesicollis - see Jim McClarin's photos of that species). I think the shape of the pronotum looks a bit more like laesicollis.

Close up added
Is there enough detail to determine which one it is?

thanks for checking this one, Margaret --
looks indeed a lot like laesicollis -- which i'm pretty sure it'll turn out to be
