Moved from Alien Probole.

P. amicaria and alienaria cannot be separated even with DNA (there is only one BIN for both). Although no peer reviewed paper has been published, it seems reasonable to assume that all North American specimens in this genus belong to a single species. Moved to Probole amicaria as it has seniority. See comments in the Moth Forums here and Remarks on the Info page for P. amicaria here.
