darkling beetle in the gen. Eleodes, rather
someone else could give you a sp. name, but this is a very tough group.
stink bugs = Pentatomidae

looks like E. hispilabris
but I am unfamiliar with CA's fauna (in AZ, I'd call this E. hispilabris).
