Acilius semisulcatus
Black metasterna and metacoxa, elytra with sulci that do not extend anteriorly nearly to base (the medial two being longer), and head with distinct M-shaped macula all point to Acilius semisulcatus. Keyed using Taxonomic revision of the Holarctic diving beetle genus Acilius Leach (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) (Bergsten & Miller, 2006; Systematic Entomology 31 (1), 145-197).
