Leaf-footed bug aggregation - Leptoglossus oppositus

Leaf-footed bug aggregation - Leptoglossus oppositus
Overland Park, Johnson County, Kansas, USA
September 8, 2008
Leptoglossus oppositus - immature through adult in a huge cluster - What would one call this group? and what is the group purpose? Hatched there and haven't moved on?

Moved from ID Request.

Aggregation.
