Alameda County, California, USA
March 16, 2010
Size: ~3/8 in., 10 mm, fem. bl
At about 4:00 p.m., this group flew onto a pile of chard leaves on the compost-bin lid and landed there. As the female walked on the leaves, sometimes two males were attached to her and sometimes just one. The other male would move around in the leaves as if lost and return to the female.
