Identification
Suberect spatulate scale-like "setae" (lacking in the smilar Calyptillus) that are longer and denser than in other "Trachyphloeus" found in our area
Range
Native to Europe, adventive in our area (recorded from WI, AB, ON)
Remarks
Recently emerged specimens are clean and they get dirty and coated with a mix of soil and secretions as they age.
