Crayfish - Procambarus? - Procambarus clarkii

Crayfish - Procambarus? - Procambarus clarkii
San Antonio, Leon Creek Greenway, Bexar County, Texas, USA
June 23, 2007
I'm trying to get an ID for this crayfish that I encountered a few years ago. I have a feeling that it might be Procambarus clarkii, but only based on what I've seen on-line. Is it possible to identify the critter from this photo, or did I need a ventral shot too? I don't think that it was up for being grabbed and inverted though, LOL. A genus alone would be cool, and possibly whether it's an adult or not. Actually, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Moved from Procambarus.

The closed areola and the prominent red tubercles on the chelae are diagnostic and allow quick distinction from the similar acutus acutus and zonangulus.

Procambarus
Definitely Procambarus, my guess would be P. clarkii as well but I'm not as familiar with the taxonomy of that genus. It is an adult.
