Size: ~2 mm each
Numerous small galls on old, weathered leaf (from 2009 growing season) of southern red oak (Quercus falcata) in dry upland forest edge. View of leaf underside where swelling is most pronounced; view of exit holes on upper leaf surface in next photo. Thumb for scale.
