did you mean, hamatus? (misspelled in Kaufman's guide)
do you have a key to spp.? what does it say about hamatus vs. simplicipes?

No i don't really have a key to the species though in my Insects of the PNW by Haggard & Haggard (which doesn't treat Families & Orders properly) it says that simplicipes' pronotum is red with a black spot (though not sure if this is completely true or not). The second photo shows the pronotum well with no red spot and by looking in Kauffeld's guide, the D. hamatus doesn't have the black spot on the pronotum. I'm not sure if there are other PNW Dictyopterus that it could be but with the resources I have, that's the best I can do is a guess on the species of this subject.
