Aquatic mite? Water tick? - Limnesia

Aquatic mite? Water tick? - Limnesia
Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
March 24, 2010
Viewed through a macro-scope. This creature is from a freshwater pond. I thought I was preparing a daphina slide; clearly not a daphnia. He is remarkably fast swimming for his size. Thanks.
