Check Dolerus
Dolerus nitens seems to be the common black early spring sawfly, but I couldn't ID one.

looks like that to me...although I know nothing about it.

Has more of a Sawfly look to me.


Maybe not this particular genus, but perhaps something in the general vicinity.
